And when she sang, it seemed like the sky changed its form. When she looked at me with those blue eyes, it seemed like everything would be alright. I had never seen her heart, but I always imagined it as a galaxy- infinite, sparkling, grand- it couldn’t be any less than that. I always thought the universe had blessed her with all the spare magic it could find. You could see it in the way she walked. It was like she was more than all of us, greater than the sum of us. It was not that she wasn’t broken, but even her cracks glowed silver, like the stars were spilling out of her. She was enchanting, graceful as the winds that whispered in my ears. I always knew that she was beyond me. And yet, somehow, the way miracles work, she seemed to have settled herself in my eyes.
