WILDFIRE

Her eyes gleamed a golden glow,
Her smile stretched from one ear to the other.
Her child-like enthusiasm was contagious,
Her energy, electric.
She had no boundaries, no rules.
Her passion, her love, her anger,
Was unbound, free.
People hurled abuses at her,
They marked her as wrong,
They called her a failure,
But the glow never left her eyes.
She never stopped trying.
She could not be shot down.
She was a feather, as light as the air,
Always rising, always flying.
She was a phoenix, rising from the ashes,
Every time someone put her down.
She was a wildfire.
No one could put her out.
