An old friend knocks at the door
And there’s no choice but to let him in.
He brings tears and sad realizations
He brings long hours spent in lost feelings,
Stale thoughts and unwanted anger.
He brings a wave of negative
To the attempted positivity.
But he also brings a love
For the unknown soul of the wandering traveller.
He also brings the slightest happiness,
And for that, he is always welcome,
But for the rest of it, good god,
It’s time he finds another door to knock upon.
