It was happening,
Tears lined her eyes
And a wide smile lay etched across her face.
She remembered the day she had met her,
The day she had nervously asked her,
The day she had cried in front of her,
Their first new year together,
The time they didn’t speak for days
And the day they realized it was love.
Now it could all come true.
It could all become.
Victorious, she pumped her hand in the air
And waved a rainbow flag.
